Jun Xu
Tenured Associate Professor
Jun Xu received his B.E. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Nankai University, in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He worked as an associate researcher, researcher, and senior researcher at Microsoft Research Asia and Huawei Noah's Ark Lab. He joined Renmin University of China in 2018. His research interests include information retrieval, machine learning, and big data analysis.

Research Interests

His research interests span the areas of web search, recommender system, and big data analysis.

He has specific interests in reinforcement learning to rank and deep semantic matching, and their

applications in IR, recommendation, and NLP.
